This game is amazing! During "free play" at Math Corps the kids are allowed to use the iPads for anything but social media and I encouraged them to play 4 Pics 1 Word. I happen to love word games and reading/writing in general.
These kids get so into it! Some struggle but learn quickly and love to help their peers. It teaches word association, spelling, and abstract thinking. It's also a nice break from the math apps they're asked to use. The room starts buzzing and they're learning without even realizing it.
Have you found computer or tablet games that are good "undercover" learning tools?

Any word game would probably be fun. I like Boggle-games for practice making words. Moxie is also fun, where you change one letter at a time to try to make words (with bonuses for making specific words). And Frozen Lexicon has you make as many words as possible with one larger word's letters.
