What was your worst parent encounter? And how did it turn out?

I have a hard time picking out one bad encounter. I always felt that my principal was very supportive and that shielded me from the problems most teachers face, I think. I also built and maintained a class website so updates on what we were doing in class, as well as nightly homework, were always available to parents. It was easy for them to keep up with what we were doing, if they wanted to. The hardest times were when students were failing and I had to call the parents and warn them. But I always framed it as "How can we get your child back on track?"
