Help me brainstorm some small ways we can work towards building a positive morale in the classroom.

Complaining about things you can't change will do nothing to help morale.
If someone starts negative talk, quickly change the subject to something positive or neutral. morale comes from the top. When admin are appreciative and supportive, most teachers are usually pretty happy. • Do you use problem-based learning in your classroom? How does it work with your students? • How do you calm yourself down when you think about high attrition rates, high stakes testing, discipline problems, lack of respect in the community, administration, the notion that good test scores = good teacher? • Did you second guess teaching, and would you recommend this career to your loved ones? • Do you have centers in your classroom? What sorts of activities do you have? How do you manage the class to work independently at the centers? • What’s going on in your classroom right now? What are you working on? What are your projects?
