Here's a problem a teacher on another forum posted, but you might be facing the same issue: I'm getting so frustrated with all the stupid little sneaky things kids are doing!
I have gum stuck on a poster, have no idea who did it, I go to use a glue stick, someone stuck the eraser end of a pencil in it! I open up a cabinet to get supplies, I see trash in it! Someone stuck a pencil into the floppy disk of the student computer. Not to mention the endless scribbling on desks!
And that's some of the kiddy stuff. I had someone steal a mass balance before Christmas break and write some nasty things on someone's work.
I don't know what to do because my eyes can't catch everything, and nobody ever fesses up. I don't want to punish the entire class for something one student did. If I saw it, it wouldn't be a problem. But they're so darn sneaky! Any ideas?

This is a really tough situation because the teacher didn't see anything. I'd probably start cracking down on anything resembling privileges or "extras," for example, no earning free time at the end of class, no free use of classroom supplies, etc.
